SMS Santini

Santini SMS is a brand of cycling clothing from the Italian company Santini Maglificio Sportivo. This company was founded in 1965 by Pietro Santini. It is located in Lallio.

Santini SMS is or was the clothing sponsor of a number of professional cycling teams, including La Vie Claire, Mercatone Uno, Acqua & Sapone, Selle Italia, Lampre-Fondital and Lampre-NGC, Katjoesja, Diquigiovanni-Androni Giocattoli, GreenEdge, Vacansoleil-DCM, Team Belkin as well as the Australian and Irish national teams. It has also provided the pink jersey in the Giro d'Italia since 1993 and the leader's jerseys in stage races such as the Tour Down Under and the Critérium du Dauphiné. Santini is also a sponsor of the UCI and of the cycling world championships. The rainbow jersey that the world champion dons on the podium comes from Santini SMS. Santini is also the official supplier of the leader's jerseys in the UCI ProTour and the Cyclocross World Cup. The contract with the UCI started in 1994 and ran until 2012. It was then extended for two years.
