The Miami Dolphins (or simply the Dolphins) are a professional American football team based in Miami Gardens, Florida. They play in the East Division of the American Football Conference (AFC), part of the National Football League (NFL).
In 1966, the Dolphins became members of what was then the American Football League. When it merged with the NFL in 1970, the Dolphins also played in that league. In the early 1970s, the team qualified for the playoffs five times in a row. They reached the Super Bowl three times, winning two of them. The Dolphins also became the first team to reach three consecutive Super Bowl Finals. In addition, they were undefeated in 1972, a so-called "perfect season", something no other team in the NFL has achieved.
Jason Paul Taylor (born September 1, 1974) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end and outside linebacker in the National Football League (NFL), spending the majority of his career with the Miami Dolphins.
